CantineTeanum JOINS OPEN CANTINE 2015: PROGRAMME OF EVENTS

CantineTeanum joins the 2015 edition of Open Cellars, an event promoted by the Wine Tourism Movement planned throughout Italy on Sunday, May 31.

Guided tours, tastings, workshops of creative recycling and conversations about nutrition: these are the elements that characterize the program of events, starting from 9 am, the staff at Teanum will be available to guide their facilities.

The program includes guided tours both morning and afternoon at the winery in Predicatella – where there will be an explanation to wine lovers the wine production process – and in via Santa Croce, 48 in San Severo (FG) – which will be visited in the facility of bottling.

In addition to tours and tastings, Cantine Teanum also offers a workshop on creative recycling with corks and a conversation about good nutrition, with a nutritionist who will explain the nutritional value of foods paired with wines such as the red wines of the “Otre” Negramaro, Negramaro Meat and Fish , and the “Otre” white wines Chardonnay and Passito.

For the year 2015, the Wine Tourism Movement Puglia proposes, in line with the initiative “IoStocolSughero” of the National Movement, the campaign “1 cap, 2 because” wine tourists will be able to bring in the winery corks, fruit and domestic waste collection; on the basis of the caps collected, the movement will fund a public awareness campaign in favor of the olives of Puglia.

Moreover, towards the end of the initiative: to recover the material destined to end in some landfill and promote the protection of the symbol of Puglia.

Green edition of 2015, which also promotes sustainable mobility; Indeed, the movement encourages wine tourists to reach the winery by bicycle, leaving their car at home or if you own one, to share the car in line with the principles of car pooling.

PROGRAM OPEN CELLARS 2015 CELLARS Teanum “CAP 1, 2 WHY”

 

MORNING (hours 9-13)

Guided tour of the company *:

 

9 am – 30.10. Meeting of participants at its headquarters in San Severo Cantine Teanum (via Santa Croce, 48) and departure for the wine factory in the Predicatella Location. During the visit to the vineyards, winery and barrels, it will be explained the wine production process: from the arrival of the grapes, the wine-making to the storage of wine.

10.30 – 11. Return of the participants at the headquarters of San Severo Cantine Teanum and visit the department’s bottling winery, shop and guided tasting of the wines of the “Canticum” and “Alta” line, food and wines of the territory.

Guided tours are organized by the oenologist Graziana Terrasi.

 

11 am – 12. Laboratory RI-CREATIVE #IOSTOCOLSUGHERO # 1TAPPO2PERCHÈ: creative ideas for the reuse of corks *.

Laboratory by the environmental journalist Giorgio Ventricelli.

 

Hours 12 – 13. Tasting local products in combination with the wines. **

 

AFTERNOON (hours 16-20)

Guided tour of the company *:

 

16 pm – 17:30 Meeting of participants at its headquarters in San Severo Cantine Teanum (via Santa Croce, 48) and departure for the winery at the  Predicatella location. Hours 18 – 20. MEN VS WOMEN … proof nose !: discovering preferences for women and men in the world of wines. Guided tasting by the oenologist of the winery, with the intervention of a nutritionist who will explain the nutritional value of foods paired with red wines from the “Otre” such as Negramaro Meat, Negramaro Fish and white wines such as  Chardonnay from the “Otre” line and Passito ***.

The tastings are guided by oenologist Graziana Terrasi and nutritionist Francesca Pia Menanno.
