Vinification: 27 days prolonged maceration of the wine on its skins in stainless steel tanks

Maturing and aging: in French oak, stainless steel tanks and in bottles.

Tasting notes: The indigenous variety of our region has a deep ruby color. Reveals aromas of ripe red fruits and notes of caramel and vanilla. Full bodied structure and velvety textured tannins are followed by long aftertaste. An ideal companion for grilled red meat.

Nero di Troia: This vine, among the oldest and most typical of central and northern Apulia, possibly originated in Asia Minor (Troy) and was perhaps introduced intoApulia during the Greek colonization. Otherwise, its name might be derived from the Apulian town ofTroia in theprovince of Foggia or from the Albanian town ofCruja, and then translated as Troia into the local dialect.
