Grape: 100% Montepulciano

Origin: DOP San Severo Red

Altitude: 150-200 meters above sea level

Conduction: high and low trellis

Yield per Hectare: 120 quintals (12 tons)

Harvest System: Manual

Vinification: 12 days prolonged maceration of the wine on its skins in stainless steel tanks

Maturing and aging: stainless steeltanks and in bottles.

Tasting notes: A strong red, bouquets of red fruits, a dry, robust and persistent flavour. It accompanies all typical Italian dishes.

Montepulciano: Of unknown origin, this vine is typical of Abruzzo and other region in central and southern Italy. According to its name, its origin might perhaps be traced back to the area of Montepulciano in the province of Siena. It was supposedly introduced in Abruzzo in the early 19th century, from where it spread to the neighboring regions. The vine got to Apulia at the beginning of the 1900´s.
