Vinification: 20 days prolonged maceration of the wine on its skins in stainless steel tanks

Maturing and aging: in French oak, stainless steel tanks and in bottles.

Tasting notes: with an intense ruby red color and a bouquet of red and delicate fruits, of velvety flavor, moderately tannic, with a caramelized and spiced finish that are exalted with complex and prolonged sensations. It is accompanied with baked, grilled or cooked in its own juice red meats.

Montepulciano: Of unknown origin, this vine is typical of Abruzzo and other region in central and southern Italy. According to its name, its origin might perhaps be traced back to the area of Montepulciano in the province of Siena. It was supposedly introduced in Abruzzo in the early 19th century, from where it spread to the neighboring regions. The vine got to Apulia at the beginning of the 1900´s.
